This is a fitting piece of history to come out during Black History Month and one that expands our knowledge of the Civil War and the role women played in it.

Really well done. The story arc is right and situates what can be known about the individuals involved very well into a complex ever-changing setting.

"How many monuments..."? What an apt/timely question. Such a tantalizing story. How many more are yet to be uncovered? Full of rich details: the roses, the pinpricks in the books, that letter from the white caps. Great work!

Wow! I just love finding out about all these folks that worked so hard for equality and freedom whose names were forgotten (erased?). I would l like to see a monument for Mary, somewhere. That single letter from her is so poignant and thrilling. Beautifully done! Thanks!
